Fenway Public House

New RESTAURANT & Bar about to hit Canberra DESIGNED by Koda Design Interiors

Interiors Situated in the new Bradley Street Restaurant precinct of Westfield Woden, Fenway Public House is a short distance from the heart of Canberra. It boasts an iconic, bold design that carefully balances warmth and sophistication with a playful outdoor beer garden atmosphere. “The design for Fenway Public House was based on creating an urbane beer garden vibe that was inspired by a love affair with the architecture and colours of the “Green Monster” which is a huge left field wall and seating area at Fenway Park Baseball stadium in Boston.” Said Rebecca Dawes, Interior Designer and Director of Koda Design Interiors. “As an all-rounder style venue, we really wanted to harness the experience of going to a large event and how the community all comes together as one, but deliver it in a way that was unique and tailored to the Canberra market.” “We explored a saturation of green colours and textures in the design to create a variety of spaces that each had a rich, unique personality and vibe.” said Ms Dawes. “Concrete, brickwork and greenery was also important to create an outdoor feeling space, that could be used all year round, and was combined with large custom street art, inspired by the theme “Green Monster” painted on site by local Canberra Artist John Voir.” With access direct from Bradley street the hero feature of the shopfront is a marquee inspired cocktail sunroom that spills out onto the outdoor garden space. This space is great for private functions or watching the world go by with a cocktail in hand. A mezzanine space can also be booked for functions or business meetings with a dedicated bar and view over the entire venue. The café space connects the large bar with a Westfield outdoor kids play area where patrons can enjoy a coffee, cold drink and breakfast or a light lunch. Internally the main hero of the space is a curvy brick-lined sunken dugout which boasts comfy seating areas to laze the day away and three of the largest screens in Canberra for watching your favourite sporting events or enjoying live entertainment on the main stage. “We really wanted to create a true Public House style space where all Canberians felt comfortable and the community could come together and enjoy a variety of entertainment options, great food and large selection of draft beers and cocktails.” Ms Dawes said. Fenway Public House is a destination venue to suit any taste or special occasion and will sure to be the new cultural hot spot for locals and all Canberians.
