3rd annual global virtual reality day

Saturday 23rd November, 2019

Saturday 23rd November, 2019 was the 3rd Annual Global Virtual Reality Day. The purpose of the day is to help Virtual Reality(VR) and Augmented Reality(AR) become more mainstream.

VR has such a wide range of uses in industries including healthcare, education, training and construction, the day brings the energy and interests of the greater community together as a world wide event.

At Koda Design our clients are benefitting from VR in a number of ways.

VR helps our clients visualise and experience their new space, making decisions easier.

Our designers use VR to make the best design decisions, communicate the design clearly and resolve issues before the project goes to construction, saving time and costs.

Our builders receive clear and accurate communication of a fully resolved design. VR gives contractors the opportunity to visualise the larger project, giving context and assisting coordination with other disciplines.

In honour of Global Virtual Reality Day, we would like to share one of our projects, Edge Clothing at Chadstone Shopping Centre in Victoria. As a retailer, Edge Clothing has benefitted by using VR to view the important details in the shopfront, test the point of sale counter, browse the shop floor and experience the change rooms before the project goes to construction.
